South Africa has so much to explore. Between safaris, hiking, beaches and vineyard hopping, there's a lot to choose from and we encourage you to create your own adventure. However, if you'd like to share some of our favorite local experiences with us, we have planned a few events leading up to the wedding that provide a small taste of why we find Cape Town so special. You can find the itinerary below.

Saturday, January 10
Welcome Drinks @ Bingley Place
Camps Bay, Cape Town
Sundowners overlooking the Atlantic Ocean is a Cape Tonian go-to. We couldn’t think of a better way to welcome you to this beautiful city.

Dress: Summer sunset; night-out attire. No sneakers, shorts or tee’s

Saturday Night, January 10
Night out at @ Athletic Club and Social
CBD, Cape Town
One of our favorite spots for a night out in the CBD (we don’t say ‘Down Town’). Between the vinyls spinning in the basement and the disco room up stairs, Athletic Club and Social is the place to wear in your dancing shoes.

Sunday Afternoon, January 11
Beach Day @ Bali Beach
Camps Bay, Cape Town
A trip to Cape Town is not complete without a proper beach session.This is one of our favorite local beaches, and while the water is infamously icy, laying on the white sand with a view of Lions Head is the perfect way to ‘defrost’ after a dip in the ocean.

Sunday Night, January 11
Night out at @ The Grand Africa
V&A Waterfront, Cape Town
The Grand is a Cape Town classic. With top tier live music, views of the water and sand underfoot, the vibes should be just what’s called for to close out the weekend. We have a group reservation stating at 7PM, so please arrive as promptly as possible.

Hike up Lion’s Head
Lion’s Head Trail Head, Signal Hill
Monday Morning, January 12
The summit to Lions Head is a steep hour-long climb, but we promise the views of Table Mountain, the City Bowl and Twelve Apostles from the top are unmatched. It’s a perfect way to start the day, which is an opinion shared by many of the locals, so we need to start early to beat the crowds.

Monday Afternoon, January 12
Lunch @ Tinstwalo Atlantic
Chapman’s Peak, Hout Bay
Tinstwalso Atlantic is nestled in the foothills of Champman’s Peak (which is routinely ranked among the most scenic drives in the world) and overlooks Hout Bay beach, which is right around the corner from where The Groom grew up. We’re confident that the food and surrounds will not disappoint.

Tuesday Afternoon, January 13
Check in + Welcome Braai @ Vrede en Lust
Franshoek Wine Route, Simondium
We’re very excited to be sharing Vrede en Lust Wine Estate with all of our guests for 2 nights. After check-in, we’ll settle in with some local wine at the tasting room and later that evening we’ll host a Welcome Braai (‘BBQ’ for the Americans) to officially kick off the wedding festivities.

Time: Check-in begins at 2:00PM. Welcome Braai at 6pm.

Getting There: We will be organizing a shuttle from the Bingley Place Villa departing at 10:00AM. Alternatively an uber from Cape Town to the venue should cost around $50.
